What’s new in Celigo Q4: updates for finance, operations and IT

As businesses connect more applications and introduce AI into daily operations, the work between systems becomes increasingly important. Documents need to become usable data. An order update may need to reach several departments. And an AI assistant needs clearly defined access to the systems it works with.
Celigo’s October 2026 release addresses these challenges with new capabilities for document processing, file exchange, event-driven workflows and AI governance. It also expands the options for NetSuite integration, EDI and analytics.
For finance, operations and IT teams, these updates offer practical ways to automate more of the process and strengthen control over how it runs. Here are the changes worth understanding and where they could fit into your business.
Extract data from invoices and purchase orders
Celigo’s AI agents can extract information from documents into a defined structure. This can include invoice numbers, supplier details, amounts and line items, ready to map into another application. Tables spanning several pages can be returned as one list.
Example
Take a supplier invoice arriving by email. A flow could extract its details, check them against purchase-order data and prepare the next step in the finance process.
The extracted values still need validation. Missing information, mismatched amounts and other exceptions should follow a review process before the invoice is approved or paid.
Receive files directly through Celigo
Building on Celigo Storage, introduced in August, Celigo now offers a hosted SFTP server. Suppliers, banks and logistics providers can upload or retrieve files through accounts restricted to assigned folders.
For businesses maintaining a separate SFTP server purely to exchange integration files, this creates an opportunity to simplify the setup.
Example
A warehouse could upload a shipment confirmation directly into Celigo. An integration then processes the file and updates the ERP, while the warehouse continues using its familiar file-transfer method.
Let several workflows respond to the same event
Celigo Topics allows one flow to publish a message that several other flows process independently. Each subscribing flow tracks its own position in the message history. Paused flows can catch up while messages remain within the configured retention period.
Example
For example, a new order could trigger warehouse processing, a CRM update and a reporting workflow.
If another department later needs the same order information, a new subscribing flow can be added without changing the flow that publishes the message. This makes it easier to extend a process as the business grows.
Give AI controlled access to business systems
As AI assistants start performing actions in business applications, teams need to define which tools they can use and how those actions are tracked.
Celigo MCP Management brings several controls together. Organisations can expose selected tools from external MCP servers, combine them with tools built in Celigo, and apply access controls, request logging and usage limits.
MCP end-user connections also allow supported tools to run using each person’s own credentials and permissions in the downstream application. This is a separate capability from proxying external MCP servers; the connection setup determines which identity is used.
Example
A customer-service assistant, for example, could be given tools to check orders and shipments, with access deliberately limited to the actions its users need.

Expand NetSuite integration and reporting options
NetSuite connector
Celigo’s NetSuite connector now supports SuiteTalk REST Web Services and custom RESTlets directly for record exports, lookups and imports, without a separate HTTP connection. Existing integrations remain unchanged.
Celigo Sync
For analytics, Celigo Sync also adds NetSuite JDBC as a native source, supporting queries through SuiteQL or standard SQL and access to NetSuite workbooks.
These capabilities serve different needs: operational integrations move business records between applications, while data ingestion supports reporting and analysis. The appropriate approach depends on the data, volumes and access requirements.
Use more file platforms for EDI
Celigo’s B2B Manager can now parse and generate X12 and EDIFACT documents through additional file providers, including Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage and Celigo Storage.
This gives businesses more flexibility when exchanging orders, shipment information and other EDI documents. An integration can work with a supported file platform already used by a supplier or customer.
Manage access and spot slow processes earlier
SCIM 2.0 provisioning
SCIM 2.0 provisioning allows organisations to manage Celigo user access through their identity provider, including removing access when someone leaves.
Long-runtime alerts
New long-runtime alerts notify teams when an integration flow takes longer than expected. This can help IT investigate a delayed process before another department reports missing information.
Good to know: Some capabilities, including hosted SFTP, Topics and SCIM, require specific licences or entitlements. Availability should be checked during planning.
Where should you start?
At Teknuro, we start with the process that needs attention: invoices being retyped, files waiting for someone to move them, or several systems depending on the same update.
From there, we assess which capabilities fit, what controls are needed and how the workflow will be monitored after it goes live.
